Opinion on wheel color for my FD

Allright guys, I need some opinions. I just bought a used set of Volk SE37Ks from PFS off of eBay for just under $1k shipped, they are in good shape and I trust PFS so it seemed like a good deal. They were on the three rotor which competed in the Car and Driver Super Tuner Challenge a few years back, and measure 17x8.5 and 17x9.5. The offsets fit the FD well so I believe fender rolling won't be an issue. Now, the opinion part: the wheels were powder coated white, which isn't a bad color, but, its not what I want on my Brilliant Black FD. I had some free time and caliper paint so now I have red brake calipers with slightly polished Mazda logos up front. I plan on keeping the car the stock color, so think about colors with a black FD with a stock body in mind. I've been pondering doing them in either a dull gold, gunmetal or a black of some sort (high gloss vs. flat is also up in the air). I don't want to polish them, and with a paint company, two chemists as well as a spray booth at my disposal a paint can be formulated and applied. What do you guys think? What are your preferences and ideas regarding these wheels? I'll try to attack a pic of them, but, as you know this doesn't always work. Thanks for reading through this and let me know what you think. Josh

SkEtAh- Sorry dude, I guess thats the way things work out, good luck finding another pair of wheels you like

But, anyways, opinions? Come on, FD owners are some of the most opinionated people around, you guys gotta have some preference as to the color of them. Thanks, Josh

I actually don't mind a white rim on a black car. Not my first choice for rim color on a black car, but it "can" look ok. But if you're repainting them, I'd go with a gunmetal color. Not too dark, but a nice gloss gunmetal would look good IMO.

Yeah... actually I got a set of wheels that I like better. Fikse FM-10's But thats was a pretty sweet price you got those Volks for. If I were you I would keep them White and just touch them up a little.

Agreed. You never really know how they'll look until you mount'em up.

I prefer my FM-5s over the FM-10s myself...

First of all, I gotta thank everyone that has given me input on these wheels so far, I really appreciate it. Secondly, they arrived today from PFS in great shape, so I'm one more happy customer to add to the list. I think I'll have to jack up the car and mount up the wheels on one side so we can see just what they look like. If anyone else has an opinion or suggestion regarding these wheels, I would like you input very much. Thanks, Josh
