Opinion: is this car worth it?

Hey i found a nice 93 rx7 at a crashed car lot but its hit right by the left headlight. From what i can see the damage stops at the headlight and bodywise (from the outside at least) it will need a new hood, left fender, and front bumper. For $5900 do you think this is a good buy? What are some of the things i should look out for and what major parts might be affected? Thanks!

hell yes, if there is no frame damage, just get a vented hood, head light conversion and a front spoiler/bumper, then get the whole thing repainted. It should look better then new!!!

That's a great buy, *if* everything checks out mechanically. Have Dave at KD Rotary (kdrotary@enter.net) give it a complete check, if he can fit you in . Barring that, there are a few shops in your area that can do a compression test on the motor and check out the turbos.

Also, you left some essential stuff out: What mods does the car have, and how many miles are on it? Original engine, turbos?
