operating FD on LPG
I am glad to see that my question has drawn so much interest. I wish I had the expertise to develop a conversion system for the FD. I think that with the proper precautions that this system could help make the FD more reliable.

And you can get up to 118 octane propane.. so if you just inject it with boost and tune around it you can get ~105 octane and a 5 gallon tank lasts ~500 miles. So you can turn up the boost/timming and make some nice numbers.
Seriously, it has a lot of potential, but is the goal practicality, or performance? What is the cost of the fuel?
