0110, I doubt the brackets are that large of an issue. You would only have to make 8 small adapter plates. Hardly an issue.

I think you would get more bang for your buck out of the miata thermoswitch mod. Its comperable in price and it has proven results.

Good to hear.. I assume it's a pretty simple install? Just take off the old, put on the new? No wiring required?
The fan blades are secured to the armature shaft with a nut and RED loctight. For what reason I don't know. Do NOT tap on the shafts when trying to remove the blades from the shaft as you will cause the shaft to slip in the armature internally causing the rotor windings to rub inside of the housing and eventually ground out. Use a small gear puller and a little patience instead.

Now my question. Since we already have a five blade fan in our FD's, can't we just get by with adding the seven blade fan along with our five blader and get the same effect? Or are the 99 spec fans of a different pitch all together?

NEW Blades=== black

OLD Blades=== white

Doesnt matter it was just thought to be better as a set. Also the style of blade as a set would have thought to be better.

Color is of no importance to me as they can't be seen, but if pitch and design are of difference, then that is important.

good question ...assuming your not changing the motors as well, otherwise would one blade make much of a difference in savings.

Anyone have the CFM specs? Maybe with the new motors it's the same CFM but lower power consumption.

The motors and blades can be bolted onto the orignal rack, the only problem is of the top of my head I think the motors were $200 a pop, thats just a guess as i dont have them prices with me right now.

NOW THAT IS SOME COIN!

I wish haha, we have 3 sets out there, and no info.

I will be putting on my own, but I dont know if anyone will take info from me, even though I will post what comes up good or bad. Its just taking me some time to get my FD to the shop.

Ouchy, money tree wilting now. I know they draw less power but I can't remember what other advantage they have to justify the price as an upgrade and not a needed replacement (motors, not fans).
