You obviously have a boost leak. Do a search and read through basic troubleshooting.

well i know im loosing pressure i just dont know where the hell to start. previous owner said that he "modified the turbos" to make it simpler or something to that effect. looking in the engine bay i am missing hoses in several places i just took some pictures with my treo and will post them up shortly.

well here are pics taken by my treo 650 i assume at one point these nipples had hoses attached to them but now are gone

this is right by altenator or air pump i forgot which one

this hose is cracked

these 2 shots are a nipple on the y pipe that goes to both turbos

this is from the airbox

Any whoosing/whistling noises?

Check all your intake/intercooler/ypipe hoses and couplers first. Be thorough.

freakin gateway errors are driving me mad. but there is a faint whooshing sound sometimes. i think im gonna simplify things by making the car a single turbo. i am looking on ebay and there seems to be a nice tubular manifold for 175 $ ill add a turbo, engine managment and some fuel and my problems should go away

Its simpler to go to single turbo than it is to find a boost leak? If you can actually hear the boost escaping, it is very likely that your problem is related to my above post. It not very hard to remove all your pipes and inspect them.

no not simpler but if i want to make more power might as well take care of 2 problems using 1 solution but yes i took a bunch of hoses off some are brittle others are cracked so i will replace those with silicon hoses.

Should do them one by one

If your removing hoses without having the ones to replace them with, your really going to enjoy getting it to work when you try to remember where they go. A simlified control system can imply several things ranging from elimination of the emissions solenoids to going to a non-sequential setup. If your still running the stock couplings at the Y-pipe to cross over and all the intercooler connections I would suspect these for such a large loss. Jack

i did not remove hoses and not know where they go sorry that i was not clear. according to owner he had somebody delete the sequential setup and make it a traditional setup. i have been reading up on boost leaks in this forum and was wondering what would be signs of a bad apex seal some where saying apex seal is bad if car idles below 700 mmHg. my car ideals at anywhere from 400mm to 600mm depending on its mood, but i attribute that to the vacuum leak.

I think I'm having the same problem. At best, the boost builds to 0.2 bar...and that's it.
I just had my engine rebuilt and bought a slightly used set of turbo's that were already converted to sequential. Is it possible that the wastegate isn't functioning right (maybe the spring is not holding to let the turbo's build boost?).

...could a clogged cat create such a problem?

Sorry for "semi"hijacking your thread xibondix.

Will someone help us both?!?

no problem mazdaspeed, i dont know if a cat would cause this problem, true a clogged cat would cause more backpressure but i doubt boosting to .2 would be your only problem. I ordered silicon hoses and i am going to do the rats nest this week and look for the leak as i do that job. If you have not dont so already i would do the rats nest too. good luck on your problem, and hopefully somebody knowledgable would chime in.

If the boost pills were removed, and there is no boost controller in place, would that keep the turbo's from building boost? Will this lack of pills only allow a measly 3 lbs (seems too low to me). I thought w/o the pills the turbo's won't boost past 7psi.
