ok well since no one is helpin you out, i'll try my best. i'll tell you what i know about them and then maybe someone can back me up and maybe give you more info.

touring- leather seats, sunroof, bose sound system, so spoiler

r1- suede leather seats, no sun roof, no bose sound system, spoiler, front spoiler, has a stiffer suspension than the touring (i personally would go with the r1)

r2- no one was buying the r1 because the suspension was too stiff, so in 94 or 95, they came out with the r2 that has a softer suspension than the r1

i like the touring also cause that sun roof is really nice, and you can always put an r1 package on it, like the spoiler and you can add the front lip, which i recommend.

hope that helps you out

If you want to mod it right away, look for one that has been taken care of (R1, R2 or Touring). Might pay a little more up front, but should save you in the long run. Any you won't have to spend time on the headache projects first.

Gotta have it running right before you mod it. I would probably take R2 over R1...not because of suspension, but because a couple small issues were fixed (paint, interior trim, etc.).

Everyone has their own preference, just know what you are getting into.

I have a '94 touring. Bought mid to low-range price about six months ago. Needed (still needs) quite a bit of work (its hanging out on jack stands now - new clutch, rear oil seal, flywheel, radiator, vacuum hose job, etc.)...should be back on the road by the end of October.

Just finding a nice one is hard enough without looking for something specific.
