Once the catalysts are removed........

.... do you need to keep the AIR pump?

NO, the air pump is there to supply the cat with air. But, what exactly do you mean by catalysts? The cat or the pre-cat? The main cat needs the pump, pre-cat doesnt require it.

no, but you will need a boost controller or you'll probably blow your engine real quick.

The pre-cat also needs fresh air. The ACV directs air to both the exhaust ports (for pre-cat) and the main catalytic converter.

He did state catalysts, which is plural, meaning more than one...

A little clarification: the car has the Pettit Stage I kit. IIRC, the Pettit exhaust eliminates both the pre and main catalysts. (The car isn't mine, I'm checking for a buddy.)
