Exclamation Once Again Oil Problems

Alright guys I know I'm asking so many questions reagarding this oil problem of mine. Now I have posted previously that my light comes on and that there is a small leak somewhere. But this is something I found out this morning and I was so surprised. I have read that the sensor for the oil gauge can be shocked and give wrong readings due to the design failure within the mechanism. When I checked my dip stick this morning there was no oil on it! I don't know how my engine ran for an hour without any oil! The funny thing was I didn't feel any significant difference in performance while driving it. The meter also was going up and down when I accelerated. However what I do not understand is how could my oil be burning so fast? Its only been 300 miles since I have changed my oil (20-50) and there arent any puddles under my car when I park. Is there something crazy happening here?
