OMP Question?
I was wondering if anyone was bypassing there OMP and running 2 stroke oil in the gas as the only means of lubrication? Right now my OMP has failed and it is expensive so I want to bypass it. I know some guys dragracing are doing it on 2nd gens but I need to know how to tell the computer on my 3rd gen everything is okay and just run 2 stroke oil in the fuel tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated, gabe

rotarty aviation sells an adapter that will allow you to have get the oil from your own resevoir and fill it with whatever oil you want.
or you can run 2 stroke in your tank.. either way works, but now that i know this, and given this knowledge before i threw my OMP at someone.... i would have went with the bypass adapter

you just need to remove it and put a block off plate over it...then you need to plug the holes in the rotor housings...I don't know how to keep the ECU from freakin out...Then all you need to do is add a TCW-3 2-cycle engine oil in before each tank of gas--3.5oz/5gal is what I used to run in my 88TII (got this info from Atkins rotary). This is a good amount for normal street driving at least for the FC--I'm not 100% sure if this is an OK amount for the FD but it should be.
