Omori meter has OEM RX7 gauge in stock!

Well, they may not be the official "OEM look" gauge, but, they are orange backlit with red needle and read imperial units.

just got this e-mail from Omori
Brian,

RX-7 gauges in-stock right now. First batch just arrived late yesterday,
and we have them logged into inventory, ready to go.

We have the following gauges here, all in 52mm, imperial (PSI, F, etc.)
measure, orange backlight, red needle, black face:

Mechanical boost
EGT
Oil Temp
Water Temp

We can ship today, in fact. Let me know.

Regards,

Greg

Any info on prices or pics? Would also be interesting to find out how deep they are to see if they fit in the dual A-Pillar pods.

arghh, I've been waiting 8 months for these damn things and they bring over a mechanical boost gauge instead of an electronic. Oh well, I'll probably get them anyway.

I've got some pictures in another thread what they could look like, but I guess they come with a black bezel? I'll have to see if I can get it chromed.

From Omori:
We have boost, EGT, oil temp and water temp in stock.

boost: $150.00
EGT $275.00
oil temp $212.50
water temp: $205.00

All RX7 style, amber/orange backlight, red needle, 52mm imperial units.
It'd be nice if the RX7 store got them cheaper..... Jason?

Sorry for the delay. Im talking with them now about setting up an account. They want me to buy a bunch of them up front. He was also trying to get a pic to me.

When I get some pricing I will pass it along.

Thanks

See if you can get dimensions too (getting info from them is like pulling teeth) - my SPI gauges are too deep for the center speaker pod - I'm hoping these aren't so big.

No Thanks

I wouldn't pay the shipping and handling if you gave it to me. What the hell kind of car is that for.

The Defi or Blitz DC gauge is looking like the gauge for me.

That doesnt look stock, the needle doesnt go all the way thru..and that lighting looks pink (might just be the pic). Damn what a disappointment.

Is that the actual gauge? WTF?

All they had to do was put their amber backlighting (which is available on all their metric gauges) with a red needle (available on all their gauges). Throw in a chrome bezel for kicks. What the hell have I been waiting 8 months for?

If that's the actual gauge, screw 'em. Looks like I'll end up going with the Defi gauges now.

That is the pic they sent me.
If you are looking for a gauge that looks stock go with the Defi D-Gauge. Thats what I use in my car and it looks good. I will try to get a pic today of it.

arghh... the D-gauge would be perfect if it didn't go to a useless 35 psi and/or if it didn't have that stupid mutli-colored bezel.

::sigh:: why is it so difficult to find the right gauge for this car?

I hear you, that's why I have waited so long for those Omori gauges. How hard can it be to create a gauge in english units with amber backlighting, a red needle, and a useful range? Why does every boost gauge on the market go to 30 psi? Who the hell runs it that high on the street?
