OK, i've gone through all the parts in the box. All the gears are fine. There are no broken teeth or any visible wear on any of them. I went through the manual and nowhere does it refer to a "slider". The only problem I found was one synchro perfectly sliced in to three peices. I'm not sure if it was broken or supposed to be that way. I think the shop is full of **** and I should sue them for everything they've got or settle with the guys job and free rebuild.

I was told I needed new sliders, 1st, 2nd, reverse & 5th gears were bad, all new synchros, widgets and a flux capacitor.
