The ole reliable 3rd gen is a daily now hehe

Well I have 4 vehicles and the 3rd gen is the last that I would put through being a daily driver but in the last 2 weeks my other 2 have went down and now the 7 has had to be the daily now for about a week so all you people that say 7's are so unreliable, hell Ive had more problems with my eclipse in the last 4 years than with the 7 for sure.

Daily driving a FD should be no problem as long as you dont abuse it by boosting too much all the time and that you do all the scheduled maintenance.

Nice choice of color by the way..

FDs are tricky to get running right but once they do you have a pretty reliable car for about 90,000 miles.

My single turbo RX7 is down quite a bit, but that is because I do all the modifying or at least the attempt to. Alot of the time, she is my DD.

Lemme guess with the DSM, it had crank walk?

I always say your car will treat you as well as you treat it.

you have some fun cars, too bad the seven has been relegated with dd duty. I have used mine as a dd for close to three years now, and its just fun to drive, even in the SoCal summer with black paint, leather, and no A/C.

Timing belt broke on the DSM, so its in need of valves now. I just got a polished and ported head for it though with all new valves and springs. Should be back to the DD job soon.

I also daily drive my fd. I do about 30 miles in a trip to work (only work maybe 5 days of the week or less) and then a 30 to school (3 days a week) and whatever else. She's been running fine I just make sure oil and stuff gets changed regular maintaince. and of course always letting it warm up b4 driving it. Only been a month but no serious problems besides finding loose body parts under my car b/c of damn rocks hitting the **** out of the bolts. Like everyside of town is underconstruction. DOH

Still driving the FD bout half the time, and had developed a coolant problem where it was forcing coolant back into the overflow bottle after turning the car off. I have since replaced the AST cap and seems to have solved the problem.
