At 5 minutes it shows him going down a cobble stone road and I immediately thought, "I'd eat glass before I'd drive down that **** in my FD."

The non-Asian guy goes on to talk about driving an FD prototype at the Nurburgring, talking about how very neutral the handling was of the car.

Thanks for posting this, I really enjoyed it. So many little tidbits. Like the traction control mode of the automatic in snow.

It also makes me wonder: How good was the Bose system? I've never heard the one in the FD.

If I could go back in time and release this video in America the Rx-7 would still be alive !

Seriously you would think after winning Le Mans in 1991 they would've Marketed the hell out of it and rode that fame. I mean Mazdaspeed came in 1,6 and 8.

I'd go ahead and make this a sticky at the top of the 3rd gen forum, personally.

I swear, if I watch that thing a few more times I'll start speaking Japanese! Funny how there just aren't some Japanese words for some things...I mean as you listen it is sort of like, "whasamussiwhassabisi...koontoohanamu...nakawakiwa kishi...sports car...shuminuni takii..."

^ I think he just likes saying sports car. There were some other ones in there; shifta-knobina was probably my favorite, driver orientationu, center conusole, there were others too

but agreed, awesome find. I'm not an fd owner but if i was I'd +1 stickying this

I absolutely love the Bose system. Very classy, think of it in the terms of listening to smooth jazz and the ideal setting. Very distinct high and lows. Many people make the mistake of thinking its a thumping system and that couldn't be farther from the truth. Others add performance mods that increase the engine noise inside the cabin and therefore lose the ability to appreciate the quality that the Bose creates. Remember on a 100% stock FD the cabin is super quiet. I bought my first FD in 1998, 100% stock, with only 25k on the clock and it came with a Bose system. Man I tell you... The sound quality was amazing. I even tried to replicate it with my second FD to no avail. My performance mods wouldn't allow it. Now that I'm single turbo forget it lol...
