Old Apexi AVC-R won't turn on

Old Apexi AVC-R won't turn on
I just picked up my FD from the body shop (don't ask 
) and the needed to jump the car to get it started. This in itself is not unusual as I have a Odyssey PC 680 battery miniturization kit in the car, and it always needs to be jumped after sitting for a while. What is different is my Apexi AVC-R was off and I cannot turn it on by holding select for 4 seconds. I'm going to trace the harness to see if it got disconnected somehow when I get home, but does anyone have any other tips on diagnosing the problem? I had to stay off the boost all the way home from the body shop, which really sucked after not having the car for 2 months 
The AVC-R is evidently an older black model, without the fancy screen that comes with the new ones. New battery being picked up today as well.
