Is it okay to vent charge relief valve to atmosphere?

I know that venting the blow off valve (closest to airbox) is okay, but what about the charge relief valve.

Is this charge relief vlave a second blow off vavle and can it be vented to atmosphere?

Thanks,

Ant

It works similarly to the BOV and yes, it is fine if you vent it to the atmosphere.

I attempted to vent my CRV to the atompshere, but the hose going from the CRV to the airbox was connected to damn tight to the CRV that i could only get the side from the airbox off and not the one off the CRV. I pryed (SP?) at that thing for like 20mins! never even budged! Anyone have an easy solution to get this stubborn hose off?

Why do you want to take the hose off the CRV side? Just leave it there.

I didnt just want a floppy hose hanging around in my engine bay..is it safe to leave it attached to the CRV but have the other end disconnected from the air box while covering the hole on the air box with a cork or something?

I've had it like that for over a year. Just tuck it behind the BOV line, it'll stay put there.

I'm not sure. Bottom line? The sound of the pressure being vented is much more noticeable. I've got both the BOV and the CRV exposed, but don't know if one or the other is louder. Someone should test this and let us know.

Thanks in advance.
