as far as the trap speed, i dont know, last time i went i was running consistant 117-118-117-118mph. this time it was 110-110-111-111mph. so i dont know.

the 324 is also on a mustang dyno, so from what ive heard its a little more conservative. either way i dont know, i was just very disappointed in my runs.

i realize that im still learning to launch my fd (im used to dropping the clutch at 5krpms on my awd subie and just taking off) but with my SHITTY 60' time staying the same, still dont understand how i trap 7mph less

Antonio, huh? Not really sure what that's about...

I'd really like to clear this issue up so I don't give anybody bad information in the future... can you use a Seq map on a NS setup, or not?

Going non sequential will slow you down, So will haveing an outdated tune. Poor man's conversions are notorious for slowing cars down(I dont know if you went all the way with the conversion or not IMHO its a bad idea either way) That and the fact that cars have good and bad days leave me unsurprised. Ambient air temperature, humidity, gas and oil quality, and head/tail winds etc. are plenty potent to rob you of 7mph.

Although, I think the fact that your tune is pig rich < 4500rpms and your MacGuyver turbos now spool like a turbine engine is supremely suspect.

Poor man's non-sequential is no different flow wise than the sequential setup above transition. When I dragged the stock sequential I launched above transition rpm and the car never fell below except during shifts (granny shifting, no power shifts). If your 60 ft is the same, and you drive very consistent, and your car is making the same power, then your traps should be closer. Shifting is very important for consistency. With a few slow or porr shifts you can kill your trap speed, but 6 mph is alot to kill. I'd guess your power is down compared to before, boost or ignition perhaps.

Regarding the tune, unless your boost range of 12 to 16 psi was AFR tuned on the sequential setup you might be running in an area of the map that was not "fine" tuned so your AFR might be off . Example, say your map was fine tuned for 14 psi on the twins and steve made changes that should get 13 psi and below close and 15psi and above close, it might still be off of optimum until you fine tune it at the other boost levels. If you are rich and you get a little misfire it can kill 20++hp easy.

Aren't the highest horsepower twin setups running non-sequential because they can squeeze some more power out of them? That's always the impression I was under...
