Oil In stock intercooler HELP! :Searched:

Engine starts quick from cold or hot. Runs a clean idle. No smoke. I took off the intake elbow today to check on an oil leak that i thought had come from the Platic fill for the oil. What i noticed was, after the intercooler the pipping had a little puddle of oil in the ribs of the hose. Disconected the intercooler to check and see how much was sitting on the bottom of the intercooler, <~~That much. Could have easily filled a few tabel spoons. So now where do i go from here?
Considering the engine runs pretty good i'm thinking it's a turbo prob.
Plus this has been a project for a few years she hasn't been out that often. LAst time i took it out, felt like i was driving a n/a. Just had NO turbo feel to it.
Plus a little back ground on this car i had the MAP sensor disconnected, and she smoked and caughed did a search and fixed that prob. But was running for prob a total of a half hour like that. Not sure if that might have an impact of this....
PRetty much gentlemen. Not sure what to do at this point. Would like to be able to find some things i could look at and possibly fix myself, all else fails theres some good places around here that do decent work from what i know.

Help please?

Clean it and monitor it. It's normal to have some oil in there. If you get a quart every few weeks, that's probably too much. Are you noticing oil loss on the dip stick? Don't be so quick to assume the turbo(s) are bad.

Well, luckily oil has never spontaneously combusted in anyone intake/intercooler, so you're safe. Just monitor and see if it's excessive from here on out. I'm assuming you'd never checked this before, and how many miles does the car have on it? Just check it every week or so.

the big question is

does your car smoke?

clean it all out, and after a week

if it does, u have a problem.

and most likely need new turbos

More info

My car has only ran prob an hour maybe two in the past 2 years.
For about a year it has been in the shop. So she's been sitting for a long time.

No smoke at all. No white no black Nada....Just a nice puddle of oil.

Maybe this will help wit ideas of what the prob is.
Assuming that it is the turbo's thats what i'm kinda going with now, How $ for rebuild, and maybe just an idea on $ for single converstion.??

THANK YOU! all for the info. :-D Keep it coming

More likely than the turbos would be oil being pushed down the line from the oil neck to the lntake before the turbos. This can happen for various reasons including overfull oil, excessive blowby of the engine, and hard cornering. It's not unusual to get some oil in the intake tract this way even if not bad enough to be a problem. It likely could have built up over many years. If this is the culprit, the easiest fix is adding an "oil catch can". Do a search.
