Question Oil smoke with Power FC?

Hello All!

My car has 50K miles on it and in the past 4-5 months I have put a Power FC in it with straight thru exhaust (no cat, downpipe, straight thru muffler), M2 Cold Air intake, pulleys, fuel pump, and Magnecor wires.

Since I have put the Power FC in it, I notice if I am very heavy on the throttle for a good sprint, right away as I am slowing down there is quite a bit of oil smoke coming from the exhaust, it is quite bad, however it will clear up after a bit, it doesn't burn major amounts of oil like that at any other time. The vacuum is a steady 15 at idle and boost is great and accurate.

I am wondering if mostly everybody else has experienced this or do I have bad seals or something. I know it is not antifreeze. If anyone could comment on this that would be great. The car otherwise runs perfectly fine. If it is the engine that is alright because I plan on redoing it this winter anyway.

Happy Rotoring All!

It could be a turbo seal leaking , If you are going to rebuild the motor also rebuild the turbos if they are to be used ,then do not worry what people guess the smoke is. Good skill this winter, happy rotoring i n the spring to you.

AAHH! how in the H.E. double hockey sticks are you getting away with that exhaust without boost creep. I have 3"down and mid and Apexi-GT spec 3 3/4" cat back and I got nasty boost creep (15+) with the stock twins. Please tell me you have a boost gage.. and your not running more than 14psi. Those stocker wont hold up to that punishment and they sound to be the culprits. You probably have worn turbo races and are getting a lot of blow-by..

Heres your chance to get the big single...

good luck.

PS not only will your turbos not hack it but without Fuel pump, injectors, fuel reg. etc... your 13B wont either.

Yeah believe it or not I have no boost creep with the straight thru exhaust. Yes I have a boost guage. No I am not running over 14 psi, I do have an upgraded fuel pump.

That does make sense that it is the turbos. Should have known.

Hey JOES95RX7 are you running single, if so which one are you running? I am still undecided if I should just upgrade my twins by getting them re-worked (balanced and tuned and bigger compressors) or should go single. I love how fast the stock turbos spool up.
