Oil pressure regulator

Can i use a racing beat Hi-Preformance oil presure regulator on a -rew engine? I have one with 5k on it from my S5 TII engine.. The -rew plates i bought was missing the OPR..Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the hi-po regulator is for cars that constantly see high rpm. Racing beat claims it's only for 71 to 91 engines, and I've read before that those regulators aren't recommended for street cars that spend time idling in traffic etc. I'd say just get the proper regulator.
