i just drove my FD its first long distance (about 300 miles) i just got home and noticed at idle my oil pressure is reading 0!! and at 4k its only reading 60

what happened to my nomal oil pressure

1995 fd 26k miles


i searched the forums and couldnt find an answer

I doubt you searched (at least with more than one topic).

Anyway, the oil pressure sending unit on this car is less than stellar. Here is a recent thread. I am sure you can find more if you search "oil pressure fluctuating", or "oil pressure problems"

Perhaps you should look at getting an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. Key is to make sure you have the proper oil level in the car.
