Oil Overfill & Leak?

After I ported my wastegate, I'm getting some oil on the ground under the turbos after the reinstall. It happens in two places and only after I turn off the car, not while it's running. I think it's from the oil return lines, but I also noticed the the oil level is a bit high. Would this be the place where extra oil is pushed out? Or did i screw up the oil return line reinstall? I'm gonna take a look this afternoon, just wanted some opinions.

Okay, I know this is old, but i'm just now getting around to trying to fix it. I still have the same problem, oil leaks down from kinda between the turbos and engine, but it's not the return lines, those are spotless, as is everything on that side of the turbos. After a long drive, i can leak about 3 cups of oil. NOT GOOD! Any ideas?

PS- what's the harm in overfliling with oil? I've done that twice to "combat" my leaking. Or maybe it was overfilling after doing the turbos that caused the leak. Front cover gasket blown? Whatcha think?

i think your noticing those leaks from the overfilling, You see the Oil gasket gets alot of pressure onto it when you overfill with oil that it becomes less effective so what happens is you begin to leak. Do you notice blue smoke coming from your exhaust? thats what I think has happend to me I see oil not on the ground but around my Oil pan area, and I am blowing blue smoke when I start her up for a good 2 minutes. It sure wasn't doing this before I filled the oil day before yesterday. Yeah so its leaking because you Oil gasket couldnt take the pressure, worst scenario is that you need a new oil gasket, means expensive labour and lifting up the transmission.

I see oil on the ground and splashed around the engine bay. No smoke on startup. Where is this gasket? Can i coat it with some high-temp gasket maker/sealer until i have to get in there for another reason like changing the clutch or replacing the engine?
