Oil metering line question

I am about to reinstall my water pump housing finally, my question is does it matter if I put the oil metering lines behind the housing, it was in front of it at first but would like to put it behind it foe easier removal of the housing if need be

If the lines reach ok, have some slack, and you can somehow keep them away from the pulleys via a bracket etc, I'd say you'll be fine.

The housing is ridiculously hard to remove with those lines in the way. WoW...I couldn't believe it myself when I first attempted to do that. Very poorly designed.

I was under the impression the lines were routed that way for heat concerns of the stock twin turbos and the plastic lines they used. I don't think that would be an issue if using SS lines.

Good point Kyle, I'm running s/s lines, and 95% of the FDs we do motor jobs on get the s/s lines. the stock ones are molded, so you don't much of a choice re: routing.

Thanks guys, but I had to route it the old way since the line were preety much formed that direction, I guess when I put the new motor in I will use SS lines and re route it then...Oh did I say I hate working on car's...I screwed up my pointy finger to the point I can see the bone...lol...
