oil light comes on sometimes?

my oil gauge is going crazy it reads in the middle most of the time but then sometimes it reads really high or really low.....wen it reads low i give it some gas and it goes up a lilttle???? and the oil light came on for like 2 seconds the juss went off????? i checked the oil... it reads full on the dip stick.....any ideas?

The oil pressure sender is a common failure. If you replace it and clean it of oil it should read correctly again.

It also sounds as though your confused to see the needle move. The oil pressure does change with the rpm. It should rise and fall with corresponding throttle use.
You can also clean gunk off the oil pressure senders connection spade. Most of the time that is enough and you won't have to replace the whole sending unit.
