WA Oil leak(s?) and Connector questions

Currently I have my FD (76k, auto, rebuild at 59k) in the garage so I can replace the vacuum hoses, y-pipe, and install a downpipe. Before tearing it apart, it had a little boost leak, an issue with the secondary turbo coming online, and it throws lots of blue smoke out the exhaust in the 5000-7000 rev range.

Upon inspection of the underside of the car, I noticed that the secondary turbo was coated in a good amount of oil, and the rest of the underbody has a thin film of oil on it. I also noticed a broken connector, and I'm not exactly sure what it is.

So my questions are, where could the oil leak be coming from, and what is that connector?

Could be a mix of motormounts leaking oil at the pan point, or a turbine starting to go bad.

Call me crazy, but there is no stock sensor there. It looks resembles one of the water sensor located on the BACK of the water housing. Are there two sensors opposite this location on the water pump housing?

There is no doubt about it, your stock twins are on their way out or gone... I suppose it is possible that oil could be leaking elsewhere, but that turbo unit looks like the smoking gun so far.

That is a water temp sensor only used on the automatic FD, call your local mazda dealer, they can get you a replacement.

Oil pan leaks can be cured by resealing and bracing http://www.banzai-racing.com/product..._pan_brace.htm

It does look as if your turbos have seen better days, how are your intake pipes? Coated with heavy oil? From your description of ths smoke at boost starting at 5Kish, this would imply that your secondary(rear) turbo is shot as it comes on line at 4500 rpm.

No heavy coats of oil on the intake piping, although there is a tiny bit of oil in the pipes themselve, and some accumulation where the y-pipe meets the crossover. The car doesn't drip any oil at all. I'm guessing the oil from the turbos is getting blown around under the car, coating everything with oil.

Remove your intercooler and see if you have any oil pooling inside.

Alright so I took the intercooler off, and when I turned it upside down some oil dripped out. I also noticed oil inside of it too. I'm thinking it's time for new turbos.
