Oil leak or overfill?

I got my oil changed as a Christmas present from my father in December. We took it to Penzoil. I was home on leave at the time, and I had left my 93 FD in my old man's care. I told them to change the oil, and do nothing else. I am very paranoid about other people doing even the most mundane tasks on any of my cars. They changed the oil, I drove the car a few more days, then went back to my command. My old man tells me after winter that there is a small oil leak. I get home to get the car (he wasn't taking care of it). He thinks the oil was over filled. It has remained full despite the small "leak" for several months. I think a small amount is coming out of a clamped rubber line on the left side of the engine. I have to drive the FD back the day after tommorrow. Should I not sweat it? Change the oil again?

Changing the oil isn't going to help anything. If there are a few drops on the floor, join the club. Many of us have small oil leaks. If it is significantly overfilled, you should drain some out.

Make sure the filter and drain plug are snug, then start it and see if you have a problem.

If you are so paraniod about your car, why would you let some kid at an oil change place touch it???
