Oil leak and clutch failure

So I went for a cruise in a cannyon when I got out of the cannyon there was blue smoke coming from my engine bay. it looked like it was comming from the back of the motor but im not sure. when I went 3 blocks to get oil I noticed that my cluch was slipping really bad. So I was wondering if any one had any ideas and could the two problems be related? (I was missing about 1 qt. of oil and I had only driven 2 days since I filled my oil)

Thanks in advance
Sean

I say yes, they certainly could be related.

Lift the car and remove the clutch housing cover plate and have a look. It will be coming from either the engine side (rear main seal) or tranny side (input shaft seal)

is it the input shaft that makes noise when the clutch is out when it is not working properly?
