Oil Leak - - - Any Advice on this one?

Hey guys,

Im about as new to the forum as it gets.

I had Spec Stage 2 clutch and light weight flywheel installed on my 94' FD roughly a month ago. During the installation a new rear main seal was also installed. After a couple days of driving, I noticed a small oil leak. Thinking it was a bad rear main seal, I took the car to my friends place. We tore everything apart, replaced the rear main seal ... again ... and now im getting the same small oil leak.

any help on this one is much appreciated,
Sebastian

These cars have lots of places that can leak oil. Sounds like your problem is not the rear seal. It is likely to be something that is leaking to that area from another spot. Oil pan leaks are common. I suggest that you check there first.

My oil pan has a leak and it drives me nuts but many say you just have to deal with it. I agree that it could be from another source. If you can, clean the area really well and then re-inspect after a drive. Also does it drip only after driving or is it continuous? If it's your oil pan, you'll see more oil on the passenger side and near the engine mount on that side as well and it will drip no matter what. Otherwise, unless you notice a change in temps, oil pressure, etc. or just a lot more oil under the car all of a sudden, then you'll just have to accept it (maybe).

Thanks for the advice

I'll have to jack her up and clean everything when i get home.
Then I suppose we'll see where the leak is.
