oil filter relocation kit + oil filter block adapter
It is always a pain to get to the oil filter when i change the oil. I was going to go ahead and buy the relocation kit, but i also was going to add the oil pres. and temp. gauges as well.
Anyway the question is would the oil filter relocation kit work with the Greddy oil filter block adapter? Thanks again... Man i wish i was as smart as you guys!!

The stock oil filter isn't really that hard to get to at all. Why put in extra oil lines to a remote filter that just increases the chances of leaks. The lines will probably rub on something and over time burst or slip off like mentioned above.

Couldn't get them to stay on. With the amount of oil pressure an fd runs, a hose slipped over a barb fitting with a screw-type hose clamps won't hold. Spilling 5 quarts of amsoil every few days all over the road isn't fun nor safe. Also, with the block adaptor the oil filter will hit the tps so you need to find a smaller filter.

couldn't you modify the fittings to except a steel braided hose and screw on type connectors? That way the leaking is a non-issue.
however i agree with jeff that the stocker is not hard to get to at all. Unless your a huge gorilla or something!! I am 6'2 190 and get to it just fine.

fc3s org used to sell a nice replacement pedestal for FDs with tapped holes for sensors (I didn't see it on their site last week). No relocation, but you could at least put in sensors and keep a stock height oil filter. Search for maxpesce's posts re "oil pedestal".
I had thought about installing a block adapter, with a remote Canton-Mecca filter, but never got around to really investigating what I would need. I think that the tough part will be finding a place to mount the remote filter that isn't harder to access than the stock location. Then of course, you have to deal with the extra plumbing.
I haven't seen the Greddy adapter in person, but if you can remove the barbed hose fittings, you may be able to run AN fittings to the adapter, which should at least reduce the chance of leakage/blow-off.

The Greddy oil filter adaptor makes for a very nice oil temp/pressure sensor install, but it does make changing the oil filter a pain in the ***. You do have to unplug the TPS harness and push the fast idle cam out of the way to get the filter out. And you will need to use a good filter wrench as well, because the filter screws down onto the adapter pretty firmly.
