Oil filter

Ok, LAST thread from me for a while, I promise. I have to change the oil before I start the car again, dropped a piece of silicone hose in there. It's only been like 200 miles since its last oil change, is there any reason for me to change the oil filter?

I always change my filter with an oil change, but only 200 miles probably not. It is mainly your decision to or not.

Is there any reason why you should NOT change the oil filter?

i don't think the risk of a problem is worth the 5 bucks that a filter cost.
