im posting for a friend:
he recently bought a 3rd gen rx7 and he wants to know if its suppose to have 2 oil cooler or 1 or does any rx7 comes with 2 oil coolers.? thanks

 

The 3rd Generation RX7 came in a few configurations:

Single oil cooler setup
Dual oil cooler setup
Single oil cooler with a transmission cooler (for automatics)

 

If it isn't an R1 or an R2 it will only have 1 oil cooler. Also like Mahjik said, if it is auto, only 1 oil cooler.

 

thanks its not an automatic so, that wud mean it possible be a r1 or r2. can sum1 lead me in the direction of knowing the difference between them.im looking to buy 1 myself,though there are very few in the island.but would love to know the different types of 3rd gen

 

You should be able to look through the 2 holes in the front bumper and see the oil coolers. Also, if the car is an R1 it will have no cruise control, a factory rear spoiler and black cloth seats. If the car has tan interior it is a touring. Assuming things have not been modified.
