Oh Snap! I'm Famous! ;)

Here's a lil feature a local online magazine did on me and my car. I'm not wild about the pics that they took but that's alright.

I like your car bud, but I really need to suggest something in a kind way. Paint that ******* hood red. Then that baby would smoke.

Yuussssss!! That baby is going to look sweet. Most people who aren't hard core enthusiasts don't like gold wheels, but I think gold wheels look great with red, black, and blue cars! I almost got my Advan Siena's in gold but didn't have the ***** to pull it off with that much $$ riding on it

Yeah, I can't wait to get it painted. I have to wait a lil while. I want to go on a well deserved vacation first, then I'll cough up the money to get it painted. I already have the color picked out I'm going domestic Viper Red!

if thats what you really did, at least you can say its possible..

but congrats, nice color too on your future new paint..cant wait to finally get a fresh VR on mine..

I was running a stock ECU with a PMS Purple Box. I ran that with all the bolt ons running about 14psi with no detonation and great a/f. I did 300rhp at 12psi and still running pig rich with non-seq. The reason why I blew the motor after I went single was because the wastegate was defective and it caused me to spike 30+psi.

Come on now, all the F1 cars are made out of CF and they paint those don't they
Oh, and the Mclaren F1 is carbon fiber, along with the Enzo, Pagani Zonda, and other bad *** super cars. They paint those too!

Ahh, that wasn't mentioned in the article. BTW, what wastegate stuck shut on you?

A painted carbon fiber hood isn't any lighter than the stock aluminum hood without insulation. It's just that no one sells vented aluminum hoods...

EDIT -- I think it's funny that your newspaper article was more accurate and better done than the articles in those craptastic "tuner" magazines...

The Turbonetics Delta Gate (Delta Creep as many call it)

Yeah, that's the reason why I have the hood because it's vented.

Thats because I made sure when I wrote down my answers was going to be put into the article and not sound stupid.

Since its wet carbon by painting it though it will weight more then if he just got the FRP one and painted it.

Worst excuse ever. Nothing is unique anymore. Every show car looks the same, 5 Tv's, lambo doors, 2-tone paint outside and inside, BLAH BLAH BLAH. Same with modestly modified sports cars with Red on black rims, Red on gold rims, white on black with silver lip, etc. etc.

Your car would look a lot better with a Red hood, but certainly is still beautiful despite it's big birthmark. Glad to hear you are painting it soon.

All i was saying is that if you were planing on painting it why not just buy a fiber glass hood they are cheaper. And i happen to like the look of carbon fiber. If my car was all carbon i would paint it too. You know how bad it would be to have one of those cars. Also i was left negative feed bad for that statment and called a dumbass. Interesting.... I thought every one on here was very adult but it seems not.

no, they aren't, that is why I have the statement in my sig. Someone asked if an FD was a good choice for a first car...I replied with "no"...LITERALLY...don't you know 2 people gave me negative feedback for not only 1) a truthful answer, but 2) just typing 2 LETTERS!!

This made me cringe:
"...Rey owns a car that countless fellow Engineheads covet: a 1993 Mazda Rx7. Made famous by Vin Diesel in the popular 2001 movie, The Fast and the Furious, the Rx7 has come to symbolize what the car scene is all about..."
But I like your answer here:
OCB: Have you ever taken your RX-7 to a car show?
R: No, I'd much rather look at slow cars moving then nice cars parked.
