Broke my gauge hood. Wish I was good at FreeCAD but I can only make simple parts. Drakelore is out of stock, don't know if anyone is working on a replacement to print. I can donate 100 dollars to someone who may be designing a replacement.

Me too recently. The Kojem replicas are under $300 and if the pictures are to be believed look just like the original, but I'd already been burned once on a 3rd party hood so I went OEM this time. I replaced the spring clips with my own, longer, home made clips (made from some stainless worm drive straps) which I think corrects the original design flaw that causes the hoods to break on removal.

California,
but if someone can get a scan top and bottom that could get me started. FreeCAD is a bitch but im learning.

edit. I found a scan, but I had to pay for it. I dont know if there is a difference between LHD and RHD as there was no mention in the file.

Hello all,

I am looking into upgrading the cooling system on the car and cant stop thinking that the front headligh is the best way to get cool air into that turbo.

Has anyone tried printing or has a file to a ducted RE-Amemiya style headlight base?

Just trying to figure out if there is any point making this instead of spending the money and.buy it instead.
https://www.rhdjapan.com/re-amemiya-...-set-fd3s.html

Thanks.
Konstantinos.

Yes, I am working on it. Swapped to Origin Werks bumper lights so I have the headlight space free.

Nice. Do you have a rough idea on cost and production time maybe?
Are you planning on doing it from carbon?

Cheers,
Konstantinos.

I hated that headlight version on these cars. But that is a great idea to get fresh air yo the turbo. I had an idea like that but a tube/hose of some sort kinda in the center opening on the side of the bumper, just to catch the air coming in(of course wouldnt work with front mounts)

Already working on a prototype. It will be a few months at the earliest. Will mostly be carbon. Unsure on pricing, have to see how complicated the end product ends up being.

Does anyone have scans or files of part K in the image? The triangle cover for the mirror.
Mine are broken and I would like to mod a scan/file so that I can mount tweeters into it.

Everything he makes is top notch. I have his IC7 surround and driver's door trim and they both fit excellent.

What size printer are most of you using to print the interior parts? The door parts look like the largest out of everything on here.

I have all of his interior trim and a UC-10 cluster surround. Kind of this opposite of this thread. Injection molded not 3d printed. Better than OEM quality. Priced accordingly. 100% recommend if that is what you are after.

New Haltech Nexus S3

Hey everyone,

I just picked up a nexus S3 for my RHD FD. Does anyone know of, or have a print for a mounting bracket? JP3 motorsports has a LHD aluminum one but no RHD unfortunately.

FD01-61-150B AC Delete Duct Replica

Wanted to drop my recent work in-progress printing project in here! (FD01-61-150B AC Delete Duct Replica) I purchased a project car 1993 LHD FD RX7 that someone thought was a racecar and removed all of the HVAC system out, I am now in the process of reinstalling the entire HVAC system back into my car. Being that I am from the cold state of Wisconsin I don't value A/C nearly as much as heat and being this is an engine swapped car I decided to ditch the A/C system, BUT for the HVAC system to function properly you need to have the evaporator installed to act as a ducting for the airflow. Evaporators seem to be a delicacy for this chassis as the cheapest Evaporator CASE (Case Only!) I found was $200 and over $500 W/ an evaporator.

Mazda use to sell a duct (FD01-61-150B) specifically for this purpose that you could get directly from the dealership for only $50!!! They are a NLA part now and all parts dealers have exhausted their inventory (I can't even find a picture of one for pete sake!).

My design allows for the duct to be slid into place with the dash even being installed, it is held in with 2 interior panel push clips and seals using some 1/2" W x 1/4" Thick adhesive backed foam. This one is a prototype hence the reason it is purple, my final product will be printed using PC-CF or PA6-CF filament.

If anyone else could benefit or use one send me a message, I can print one for you! I am thinking about producing a few. Happy Printing!!
