I would be hesitant to run carbon as a brake pedal given the abuse it can see with lever forces or moments. Carbon can be strong but design needs to be taken into consideration around the specific forces it will see.

A carbon pedal cover is fine.

DO NOT attempt to make a complete carbon brake pedal without an engineering degree and professional testing equipment.

That's a good way to die.

Kind of surprised by this, has no one made a proper LHD arm rest replacement bin? The arm rests only came in RHD cars and don’t sit perfectly in a LHD center console. I wonder if you could scan the original bin and just mirror it?

Are you talking about the bin that replaces the ash tray? I actually prefer the RHD piece because it's easier to get into with the door opening to the left.

Yeah that’s the one. I’m ok with it opening to the left, but it doesn’t sit perfect in the center console since it’s made for a RHD center console.

has anyone got a stl for the ecu cover/kick panel? (is the ECU on the same side regardless of LHD or RHD?)

I even have a scanner so could just make my own if I could just find a loaner

Yeah I get that. I've never personally cared much since I can't really see it being off that much, but I understand some OCD on certain things lol.

No, the ECU is on the left side of the car when it's RHD, along with all the HVAC boxes being reversed of course.

Oh OK, mine is a RHD car and I don't have the ECU cover panel... anyone know if the panel on the other side is identical? I could scan it and reverse it... not sure if it's a different shape when there's an ECU under it

You should be able to do that since most things on the dash are just reversed. The ECU is under that panel on the right side on LHD cars too.

I've got a RHD and plan to scan all these parts eventually so I can print them in the future. My interior is pretty mint so I'm hoping it all comes apart without braking. Just got my scanner but haven't opened it yet. Do you need a picture of the passenger panel?

They are plenty different.

(I.e. ECU is behind the LHS panel on RHD.)

Ok I'm pretty sure that the lh and rh kick panels are identical (but mirrored), irrespective of which panel has the ECU mounted behind it... the non-ecu side still has a little bulge in it, and the computer itself is tucked away pretty tight

On the downside I think the panel will be probably too big for most printers, someone could measure it up or I'll get to it eventually

Could someone please scan the side mirror mounts (the one that attaches the mirror to the car)? Ive got my OEM mirrors but the dude who ripped 'em off didn't keep them with the car when he sold it.

There's a shop in the UK that makes them, I have a set in storage. They also make replica r-magic oil ducts and a few other things, I forget the name.

People have a hard enough time seeing our car, not sure why that would be a good idea.

Loving the subtle hint of doubt in this post.

Like stated above, testing new materials out for a component such as a brake pedal is NOT the way to go if the knowledge, expertise and testing procedure is not there.
If it is then certainly go for it and let us know when you have a working result!
Just be careful!

Great thread by the way.
Congrats and thanks to all contributors and component designers.
