i know that you can replace the fans and motors without having to buy a new assembly. however i do not know how to do it or how hard it is. im actually having that done at a local shop along with a few other things.

The fan comes off the shaft and a new one is about $ 32 .The four bladed fan flows more then the five blade so most people run two four blades .I may have a five blade fan in storage ,if so I will sell it .

How much damage did you do? You might not need to replace them at all if it's relatively minor.

Hey man, I have a spare fan blade sitting around, with the motor if you want it.

I can sell it to you for like 20 bucks plus shipping. Let me know

( I damaged one of my fan blades also before, so I just have a spare one sitting around now)

How to remove?

I was trying to remove a fan motor and blades from the housing but couldn't figure out the way to get the blades off the shaft. Anyone know the trick here?

After you take the nut off the front side, squirt some penetrating oil down the shaft. After a bit of soaking, carefully pry up the fan blade.

the damage is surprisingly minor, I am more worried about the balance of the blades when they kick in more then anything else. resulting in burned motor!!!

Can you post up a picture of damage? Depending on the damage, it may be ok to reuse.
