Odd problem w/ FD, need help.
Odd problem w/ FD, need help.
Ok so heres a little baqckground, and then I'll explain the problem.
This weekend decided to have Christmas early and install some new parts on the FD. Installed Downpipe, midpipe, intake, Pettit ECU and coilovers. Car is basicly stock, w/ Tru twin conversion.
Get the car down off the lift, connect the battery and start it up. Car starts up fine, and is purring smoothly......everything went great. Shut off car for a bout a minute......put tools away etc.......Get back in, start it up and The headlights pop up, turn on, and the horn starts blairing (constant)..............Shut the car off........lights and horn keep going.......unplug battery....everything is off.
Any ideas what the heck is going on......is my car posessed by gremlins? Or is it something more serious?
Thanks for your time and help, -Patrick

Same thing happened to me when i did some under the hood work one day. Kinda freaked me out but then i realized what it was. What i did was played with my driver side lock. I think i had to take my key and turn it to the left... I really cant remember it was so long ago. But if you can just disconnect it.
yeah....just shut the alarm OFF, don't disconnect or disable it for God's sake! Why the hell would you want to do that? What is it with the idea that if something isn't working right, to just 'disconnect' it? Why not fix it for the love of Mike?
