Odd fuel pressure problem.

Hello,

A little pre-cursor, my car normally runs like a champ, my fuel pressure is normally around 40 psi, however, today while driving on the freeway the fuel pressure dropped to 25ish psi. This got me scared real quick. After looking at my set-up in the engine bay the Aeromotive FPR seemed to be exactly where I had set it before, so I thought maybe I had a clogged filter. I noticed that I then had a 1/4 tank of gas and went and filled it up. Miraculously the problem was gone and I was back at 40 PSI. The odd-part in my mind was I take the car below a 1/4 tank all the time and this doesn't happen. I'm replacing the fuel filter tomorrow (because I should anyway) but I was wondering if someone had any insight as to why with a 1/4 tank it just decided to basically crap out and go to 25 psi.

The car has run perfectly for months, and there were no fuel leaks, relevant mods:
1300 cc secondaries injectors
550 cc primaries
Supra pump
-6an lines
Aermotive FPR
Defi Gauge
pump run constant 12 volts to battery

Thanks,
Neil

when is the fuel pressure 40? base or what?

changing the filter is a great idea you may have to reset your base pressure afterwards if its clogged.

how old is the pump and did you check your wiring/fuse?
