Starion IC : (the bigger one) at 324cfm and 292°F on the inlet side of

the calculated heat exchange area is 1602 square inches.

Volvo IC: at 331cfm and 293°F on the inlet side of the IC, the pressure
drop
is 0.55psi. The outlet temp is 126°F, heat rejected is 58809 BTU/hr,
and the
calculated heat exchange area is 1539 square inches

for those of you who dot believe that this IC is good enough, check out some cars from Puerto Rico that run 7's 8's and 9's with this IC.

Well, 329 CFM won't cut it, right ? An FD making 300+ rwhp should flow 6xx CFM, I think. Right now the Blitz SMIC looks good. It seems to have a low pressure drop and a (fairly) low price, $850 at the rx-7 store. With a sprayer it should cool very well, and the fan mod takes care of heat soak.

i did post that a very LONG time ago and the info was not my own finding, just some info i had...
Fred, you can doubt the IC all you want, but the truth is that it DOES actualy do the job. again, after all these years, i would still say what i kept in the quote... look atwhat some other guys run down in Puerto Rico. i was working on a "kit" to make for each size IC as i "used" to be able to get TONS of them, but recenly they have dried up as far as availability. there were times i would have 8 or more at one time and be able to get plenty more where they came from. not any more. i assume its because so many other people have caught on to them....
rextech,
i dont think there is one specific answer to answer your question. reason being, there are SO many ways you could do an upgrade like this. under the "coming soon" portion of my site, there is a pic you can see how ONE car was done... http://www.kgparts.com/index.htm not a SMlocation, but an idea for you none the less... best of luck to you. but if you think there is ONE set way of doing it, you may want to look into a readily available kit.

Actually isuzutruckparts.com has them for $150. But I think something with bigger tubes would keep the stock twins more in their efficiency range. If this is not true, $150 is a lot better than $850.
