Dave uses them on his 10 sec drag truck (it has a supra engine in it). I think it's a good intercooler, but getting one in an FD would be custom job for sure. Unless you can fab stuff up yourself, the cost of getting one installed might equal a "bolt-in" intercooler specific to the FD.

They are good for smic or vmount, you can use it for fmic but I don't know how that would look. They are used on the turbocharged isuz trucks. I am putting one in my car.

 

Frame rails in engine bay are only 28" apart so unless you go v-mount above or front mount, it won't fit

Im doing a vmount with a large npr intercooler and a fluidyne radiator. Should have that done in the next week or so and i will post pics.

 

I would suggest getting one that is made for the FD. Atleast then you know what your getting into.

 

Fabbing up stuff is half the fun though. I'm doing a v-mount right now on my fd with a supra I/C and will be doing a small NPR v-mount in my friends FC very soon.

 

there is no doubt about the efficiency of these ICs... i'll be fabbing mine up(have all the materials and everything, just gotta get my welding friend to help) in a little while.

total price: $250 on my FC. like ron said fabbing is half the fun!... i have the medium one.

also, these come off of isuzu trucks... they are HAULERS, they're meant to be abused

these are from my old 7. You need to relocate battery. I also still have that panel that is covering it (if you need it), and a K&N filter that would fit on the side of it. You would need to make custom brackets, Intercooler tubes and Intake tubes.
