Pomanferrari:
I rode in a Lotus at this weekend's autocrosses. They're a fun little racecar, and would be just amazing with an additional 50-100 hp. Be warned, however, they're not much for creature comforts. I'd imagine long trips being a pain: keep the RX-7 for cross-country touring.

PS: What is your exact cooling system setup? For the AST bypass, did you loop lines or tap & plug holes? What thermostat are you running, and is it gutted or drilled in some way? What radiator / ducting setup? Have you put a restrictor in the heater line? Removed the coolant lines to the throttle body?

I am going to try and keep out of the actual debate, but on pomanferrari's behalf, he is a patent attorney (engineer as well), is so not hurting for money, and is a good natured and generous person.

This is a very interesting point. The coolant temp sensor does not know the difference between Evans or Prestone so when it sees 100+ degrees C it starts dumping fuel. I'd be curious to see datalogs with AFR's from those conditions. How rich is it and how much the injector duty cycle has increased to compensate under load?

If its dumping enough fuel, it could even be reducing power levels.

If you're going to make **** up, at least keep the **** straight. And how the hell do you get 500K b/w two cars? 400K on the FC and 100K on the FD?
I'm someone else that is sharing this account.

And I'm just a couple years younger than Jimlab.

I'll give u a clue on who else is using this account.

I have the most undisputed miles on a FD.

BTW, the **** for bushing that Jim sold to me he does not have on his cars: his car runs custom machined steel bushings. We get second rate plastic and he uses steel. Great product endorsement eh?

In fact, checking the posts on the 3rd gen forums, I find nothing but JimLab and his arrogant I have more money than you attitude. At some point they were funny and interesting but it's the same tired old attitude. Jim, try hanging out with people who have more money than you rather than those who are less fortunate than you are just so you can stroke yourself to sleep every night.

What I'm trying to say is that it's time for me to go the way of Gordon Monsen: I'm looking to get either an Elise or a used 911GT3 and get out of the RX7 entirely - the **** is getting old.
So ur saying that u have offered more technical advice than JimLab?

If u made an effort to work in the software or (a few years ago) dot com industry then u probably won't find it so hard to ignore jim's subtle comments about his wealth.

Oh wait, thre isn't much use for a mechanical engineer...........

So are 99% of the people on the forum when u meet them in person.

It's amazing the kinda words that I heard from people that meet or know Jimlab in person at SS5. As a matter of fact they make him out to be just the opposite of what this forum might illustrate him to be.
