How do you top off your coolant? Do you fill both the AST and the radiatior to the top and put the caps back on? My thoughts are if you overfill the excess will go to the resevior tank.

What is the proper method of filling so I can monitor if I am losing coolant? Does it take adding fluid over few warm up's and cool downs to get the coolant to the proper level?
