Notice of Sponsorship Scam to all members

I am writing to make aware of a company that is promising sponsorships from a list of companies involved for either quasi or full sponsorship. The site is carsponsorships.com and all companies involved as far as I know are involved in this scam of taking $89 as an account set-up fee promising all kinds of great deals and discounts but you never get any access to these special prices, and after your $89 is received you don't hear from them again....this is a scam that I personally as well as post-applying heard of several people who have been ripped off too...only VISA is working for me getting my money back taking all necessary proceedings on my behalf...so if your a member of any car forums copy this post and plaster it across the web!!

they say they offer you a good discount and the 89 you pay for membership outweighs the discount. i checked out the bbb on one of those companies and it seemed fishy, they also refused to send a contract out before you pay their "fee" and if you ask for additional information they don't send it to you.

It's not a scam or at least it wasn't for me. I received great sponsorship discounts, all of them were discount or "quasi" sponsorships though. Some as much as 50% discount on items.

scam

Maybe you were dealing with a similar website...I did not receive access to any special pricing as I was told upon receiving a list of sponsors...on their site it says only 5 spots available for all of North America...well how is it that I can get 15 friends to sign up and they all get accepted and that their sponsorships will be finalized upon their $89 payment...theres only 5 spots available but all of them received their full/quasi sponsorships...answer me that one...not only that but I emailed several of the supposed sponsors and they had no idea what I was talking about and say that they are unsupportive of carsponsorships.com even though they are listed...

roofles.

Hey Buddy! You've never been on the track or in a car show. Wanna get sponsored? Send me 89 bucks.

It doesn't take a genius.

To get sponsored, you need to enter and do good at car shows or races. Then a rep will come up to you and ask to see a resume (they want to see that you're active in shows and that this isn't your 1st or 2nd one). If it's acceptable, you'll get some stickers, etc. Pimp the stickers at the next couple of shows and you just MIGHT get some goodies for your troubles.
Those fake sponsoeship sites are out to do one thing...make money.

So you thought you could pay $89 and be a rock n' roll star huh?

Here's a good rule to follow, if your car isn't in the top three, in some category, FD's in the entire nation you're not getting any sponsorship outside of Mazada Comp type of discounts for running a sticker etc.

Oh and btw even if you're in the top 3 you still probably won't get anything. It amazes me that people fall for this kind of thing. Do you watch a lot of infomercials?

so how come I got a good experience with them with only a few events that I went but did not even enroll? could I be one of the 5 in the nation? not with a mostly stock car... well, I dunno...
