not turning off
I have a weird problem, i can't get the car to turn off....
Take the key out and the only things that stop are my defi gauges and heater fans, The lights on the dash change to how it looks when you have the keys in and ignition on (not engine on). I have totaly disconnected my turbo timer and alarm but still having the same issue.
All the front of the car has been pulled out to install new crash panel and FMIC/RAD and after work done it turned off.... but the indicators, side lights and horn stopped working then connected the earths at front of car (2 big white things) and then wouldn't turn off... tried taking the earths off again and still not turning off
its a 96 FD RS
at the mo im killing it with the 30A relay and pulling it to kill it all
any suggestions on what to check or what it might be....
thanks

You likely have a short someplace in the ignition/fan harness system.
Last year at WGI, one of my fans froze and the load melted a connector... when I came in olff the track, I removed the key and the car was still running.
Pull the 60 Amp "fan" fuse on the block by the driver's strut tower. If the car then behaves normally (except for fan operation onviously), then the short is in the fan system someplace.

It's also possible that the relay you're pulling out (or another one) is stuck in the 'on' position.
I'd start by measuring/checking that relay for proper operation.
