Question Noob question - RE fuel enrichhment

I just bought a 93 touring, stock everything. Runs good, the guy never raced it (he was 60+ years old, long trips, every service record you could possibly ask for...) so naturally I want to make some mods. I am no where as knowledgable as most of you guys. The first things I am doing is installing the reliability mods to preserve the life of the under hood parts (dp, aluminum AST, BOV, fan switch) My question is this, when should I start looking into changing the fuel maps? I'm adding mods in steps, and I'm not looking into making my car a 400-500HP monster or anything, but I am looking into puting a new intake. Would that and a dp be enough to cause me to run lean? Sorry if this sounds so sophomoric, but I thought you all cold help me out. I've checked out just about all of the website resources and they lead me to think that it would take more than those 2 things to require me to run lean, but please let me know.

You are fine with adding the basic bolt-ons: downpipe, cat-back, and intake, as long as you keep the boost to 10 psi without spiking. This may require a boost controller, either manual or electronic. The stock ecu has plenty of fuel but will not handle going over 10 psi.

That's the basics.

BTW, adding a BOV is a pointless mod with the stock twins and doesn't increase reliability. The stock one works great and won't cost you anything. If you want to hear the BOV noise, just vent the stock BOV to the atmosphere instead of feeding it back into the intake box. The stock BOV is actually very loud.

RedDragon7, I'm very impressed with the way you approached the board. WELCOME!! You may fall into my catagory of 7 owners. I'm looking to do a dp, intake, cb, intercooler and intake/intercooler piping. This is going to require that I do something for my fuel maps, so I'm going to buy a remapped ECU from M2. Check them out if you havent already.

There are many other places to get parts as well, but I personally like M2. As for the BOV, I have one I understood when I bought it (A'PEXi Twin Chamber) that is did nothing for performance but I was stoked about my first turbo car. Only you can decide if you want one, it is only a novelty though.

Best wishes for your 7!!
