You'll find everything you're looking for if you keep learning to use this website. Look in the "Classifieds \ Cars For Sale" sections: https://www.rx7club.com/closed-rx-7s-sale-wanted-12/

Learning to use the Search function will help you as well,
https://www.rx7club.com/search.php

Try searching for "rolling chassis" , and limiting your search to the "Classifieds" subforums. I'm sure you'll find all kinds of cars.

Another piece of advice: start off with a 2nd Gen (1986-1991 model years): there are lots more available, the parts are much cheaper, and they're a much more forgiving car to drive (I'm assuming you're not an expert driver yet, if your 'old man' is going to help you build a car). It would be a shame to spend a lot of money building a 3rd Gen and then wreck it.

Good Luck,

Few cars can be as costly and tedious to make a project out of than an FD. The roller type of thing can leave you digging for countless little parts that are either a pain to get used, or a form of legal rape when bought from Mazda.

If you want a project car, I suggest buying a complete car with a blown engine. At least there you'll know what needs replaced.
