non sequential help!

Well, for the past few days I have been working on going non-sequential. I have removed all of my solenoids put a 330 ohm 1/2 watt resistor on all but 3 connectors (i ran out of resistors) the ones that do not have a resistor are turbo control, precontrol, and wastegate control. I have everything done on the diagram from this thread (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...non+sequential) excluding the turbo flapper part, and I haven't removed the double throttle butterflies, nor the double throttle actuator (its not hooked up to anything). I have checked everything and it all coinsides with the diagram, but sure enough my car will not start. It just turns and turns. Could the solenoid connectors cause the car to not start? Since the circuit isn't complete, perhaps? If not what else in the non-sequential process could affect the car and how it starts? It started fine before, I just figured it would start up and go into limp mode if things were wrong somewhere. I also have the purge control solenoid bypassed, along with the PCV capped. It is rather cold here (its snowing) so since I don't have a purge control, maybe that also has something to do with it?

Even without any resistors, your car should still start and run, though it will run like absolute crap! Ask me how I know

Double check everything is still hooked up, like the injectors and coils and such. If you can confirm that your getting both spark and fuel, you have probably flooded it by now by cranking and cranking.

yeh..

I am pretty damned sure that the injectors are alright. I hadn't actually started the car in like 2 weeks prior to doing the non-seq....the thing is though when I first tried to start it, it actually started for like a half a sec then died. It could possibly be the coils....I guess I will check those tomorrow ....damn i was excited for non-sequential too.

woot

I jump started her this morning, and got her going. She was in limp mode, but I figured that would happen so I went and baught some more resistors and caps and put them on. Started it up fine after that and its out of limp mode. Purring like a 13B! I still have to weld the flapper open, but I am not sure when I am going to be able to do that. What exactly does this accomplish anyway. I am guessing quite a bit, because I am boosting at around 2 psi right now heh, but I can hear them spooling non sequentially ! As for the overall mod (once I am completely finished) I say it rocks, the engine just feels nicer and definitely looks nicer. Its also nice to know if there is some sort of boost leak you can easily check a few places and not have to take off the freaking UIM. Hail to thee FD!
