Ok, don't flame :-) lol..


I have searched AND found... but it hasn't solved my question.

I've been looking for info on the non seq conversion and the FD3S.net site has provided excellent info. However it never mentions the use of resistors. This in cotnradiction to other discussions who insist on the use of resistors on the solenoids.

Now, I have noticed that the type ECU you are running maybe be a factor in this situation.

I'm running a PFC and I was planning to reconnect al connectors to the matching solenoids and to make the right vac hose connections like on the fd3s.net site or Rikkistyle.

Who can point out to me if I need these resistors or not with my setup?

you won't need resistors as long as you are using a PFC

 

Yeah, PFC doesn't care. The only reason people have done resistors in the past is either with a chipped ECU or a PFS PMC.

Just don't bother with the resistors. Make sure the extra wiring is secured so it doesn't short out on something, though.

Although you still might want to put resistors in while it's all out if you ever get rid of the PFC, it's what I did and im glad I put them in at the time. I put in resistors then wrapped the whole harness in high temp silicon tape for a nice clean look.

Dale how do you mean? If I'm not disconnecting any wires what extra wiring should be looked after then?

The PFC will continue to be the ECU unit. I like it and I'm in Europe so it's not obvious to change it out a lot, even if it would make things easier to find a tuner for it. But then again.. no body knows how to tune a roatry around here anyway so I'll stay put :-)
