nology ignition coils

I'm putting a new engine and single turbo setup on my fd and i was wondering if I could use aftermarket coils on my FD? I've heard a little bit about the nology coils but i don't know what are they worth? anyone already tried them?

I would stay away from Nology, I have had bad experiences with their products.

I had a bad experience with their PLUG WIRES. yes. plug wires.

after they were installed (and properly grounded) if i got into the throttle above 25% at all, my guage cluster would turn off completely and then flicker back on and then turn off, and so forth. adding a ground wire kit made it less horrible, but still there. only solution was to remove them and sell them, informing the buyer of the issues that i had.

You could also run the Crane Fireballs. I have them on my car and have been very pleased with them.

I'm using the twin tower motorcycle coils from MSD not much use on them but the idle seemed smoother.

Instead of making another thread I thought I would ask here but up until what level are stock coils good.

I am thinking of replacing all my coils as a precaution. The car I have bought is pretty busted up and the owner really took terrible care of it and abused it...

I am going to be looking to have all the bolt ons and maybe 320ish to the wheels. We have a sponsor who carries MSD I beleive (we me and Wankel) but I am pretty sure he can get any other brands at a decent price.

Any help would be appreciated,

Alex

P.S MSD 8.5mm wires, recommended?

Thanks for the answers I got low mileage trailing coils and a new lead.
