I've noticed that the JDM rear bumper that I have on my car is different than that of the US models in that rather than being fully formed w/plastic accross the plate mounting surface with screw holes for a plate, it has a large empty area in which you can see straight thru to the rear bumper support. The holes of the plate are narrower than the mounting flaps of the bumper leaving no good mounting point.

as a temporary option, i just kinda tucked my plate behind that opening, but it slides around a lot and i've actually gotten pulled over twice because of it! (no tickets though)

I've attached the best picture I have of it. Can anyone who has a JDM rear bumper tell me if I'm missing a piece or describe if there's some sort of special clip I need? Japanese license plates must be different? Any help would be very appreciated.

 

There'sa sort fo frame thingy that attaches to the rear bumper and has two hooks at the bottom to support the plate
