I like it, but if the flange is thicker there is NO way it won't raise the motor...

That flange is not 3/4" thick, looks more like .125-.200".

well why dont you machine off some of the top of the motor mounts? there thick enough where you could take off atleast .250" and still be as strong, or fab up some new mounts, there not that hard to make

That is the wrong website, it is www.a-spectuning.com , the oil pans have been reworked and are now finned for cooling and larger capacity as well. I have 10 being made up one is for j-specracer7, as he has been waiting the longest as well as a few local customers. Flange is 9mm.

whoo hoo!

9mm may not be too bad for me....that just means when I pull my motor to do this, I have to bring my motor mounts to a machine shop and have them remove 9mm worth of aluminum

You would probably take off only 8.5mm since the stock oil pan is probably about .5mm thick anyways. But yes, off the motor mounts themselves.

Forget about the oil leaks...and say hello to a stronger engine (9mm oil pan is guaranteed to keep the motor from flexing on itself)

My car had no oil leaks when using the stock twins and making around 300rwhp. Throw my single turbo on there, and the thing leaks oil from everywhere. After talking to Ralph Friend and Rob Golden about this pan, its going in the budget for the rebuild. CJ

Sean,

Will you guys be providing new 10mm bolts/17mm bolts for the oil pan? If not, I better go buy some now.

We can provide them or you can, I'm not sure how we are going to do it yet, I may offer both options.

Jspec, the pan is deep enough it may require you to actually remove the motor or drop the subframe significantly, just a heads up.

So is it confirmed that you have to drop the subframe significantly, if not all together, just to install this aluminum oil pan ?

Thanks,
:-) neil
