Question No fuel pressure

I ran into an issue today. I tried driving my car, but it just continued to turn over. I checked the fuel pressure gauge and it read 0psi. I tested it by using the diagnostic box and jumped the wires, I hear the click from the relay, but still 0psi on the gauge. I pulled out the pump and tested it on the battery, it whirs perfectly fine. I even checked it through its plug that goes to the cover and it works fine there. I changed out the relay that I had for the fuel pump rewire and it still shows 0psi. Am I missing something? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My setup has worked flawlessly for years, I even drove it a few days ago with no issue and now this. My setup is aeromotive 340 stealth pump and fuel pump rewire with 30a relay to the battery.

Even if the pump is kicking over it may not be building pressure. You could have a blockage in the line or the pump is buzzing but not actually doing anything or creating pressure. Or, the outlet of the pump in the tank could be compromised so all the output the pump is making is just spraying back out inside the tank.

First make sure the wiring is good and you are getting voltage back there under cranking and you've got a good ground and solid connections. Then start troubleshooting the pump itself and the fuel lines/FPR/fuel filter.

Ok, I'll start checking. When I had the pump installed back on the fuel hat, I connected all the wires and grounds again and tried testing it by putting the key in the on position as well as the diagnostic port, I still didn't hear the pump start whirring like I did when I initially tested it outside of the car directly to the battery. Could it be a faulty relay? I'll try checking to see if I installed the new relay I bought today correctly.

I found the issue, it turned out to be a burnt plug. I used a 5 prong relay to hotwire the pump {just for testing). The pump still didn't work, I was checking the connections on the pump and barely touched the plug and it jumped on. I plugged up the pump properly to the relay and it functions like normal again. I noticed some burn marks on the plug so I want to buy a new one. I was lucky this didn't turn out to be a catastrophic problem at the wrong time (while boosting 30+psi or I'd be in for a substantially bigger dent to the wallet than just replacing a plug).
